PRO BONO AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Mr. Mazurek has a long track record of community involvement and helping those in need by providing pro bono legal services. Some of his pro bono representations have included:
Special Olympics of Pennsylvania: Mr. Mazurek has advised this organization in legal matters on a pro bono basis for many years. SOPA has generously honored Mr. Mazurek with multiple Leadership Awards, the Service Award, and the Award for Outstanding Loyalty & Dedication. Mr. Mazurek was also honored as one of 35 individuals who have served the organization over its 35 year history.
St. Joseph’s Preparatory School: Advised Faculty Benefits Committee in connection with pension plan issues.
In re [Confidential]: Represented eight indigent brothers and sisters as guardian ad litem in connection with parental neglect.
In re [Confidential]: Represented indigent Downs Syndrome baby as guardian ad litem, obtaining termination of parental rights of biological parents to enable adoption.
In re [Confidential]: Represented indigent mentally disturbed teenager in pursuing Social Security Disability benefits.
